Historical notes

This wine is produced since 2005 by one of the most historical producer of the Morellino Terroir to enlarge his offer for a “Very Special Blending” with the Sangiovese, Tuscan must important grape variety combine with world known grapes as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon giving to Spineto Silver smoothness and a particular international fragrance.
The wine area production is the Maremma Toscana located in the south-west Tuscany directly from our vineyards.

Blend and wine making

Grapes varietals: 70% Sangiovese, 20% Merlot, 10 % Cabernet Sauvignon.
The grapes are harvest in mid September starting with Merlot and later on with Sangiovese and Cabernet, fermentation is held with thermo controlled temperature for approx 12 days at 70° F. Sangiovese stays on outside stainless tanks for natural sedimentation, while French varieties lays in barriques for 6 months approx. Grapes varieties are assembled 8/10 months after the harvest and bottled at least one year after the harvest.

Organoleptic test

Colour: bright ruby red with light garnet hues.
Aroma: intense, lingering, with strong hints of vanilla, tobacco and bottled cherries.
Flavour: dry, tangy and warm with good tannic and excellent length.
Ageing: due to his structure the wine at his best 3 years after the harvest can well age for another five, six years.

Serving with food

His best with white meats as chicken and rabbit, match perfectly with summer Norcia’s black truffles dishes, excellent with mid-aged cheese as pecorino, goat cheese etc.etc.
